- vittorio terence armillei Review added: 2018.06.10★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Audi A2 clutch replaced Monday, newly fitted clutch slipped. PE insisted there may be a problem with the gearbox although they couldn't explain why, despite my reasoning that it didn't slip prior to 'fix'. Left it with them. Tuesday still doubted the gearbox issue, was advised the best option was to investigate. Cost to remove gearbox again £165+VAT which they would split. The gearbox examination I would have to pay £50+VAT.
Friday they called. Car was ready to go.They had sent the box to a second expert as the first could find no problem. Second agreed, no issue. Turned out the clutch they had fitted was faulty. When I explained I may be at the shop a little after they closed because I was walking from work 4 miles away, the manager suggested I walk faster.
They had my car 4 days unnecessarily, insisted on a fault I told them didn't exist, they didn't even refit the speedometer cable first time around.
No apology, no offer of recompense, no customer service.
Would give no stars were that possible.
